Bear Beginnings: Departmental Open House

Get your academic BEAR-ings by attending the WashU Department of Sociology's Bear Beginnings Open House!

Every year, we welcome the hundreds of newly-arrived first-year and transfer students to our campus home. As a part of the broader Bear Beginnings programming, the WashU Department of Sociology will be hosting a departmental Open House on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. in Seigle Hall, Suite 213.

During this event, incoming students will have the opportunity to meet with Sociology faculty, staff, and current students and learn more about the countless opportunities available through our program. Bring your friends and bring your curiosity - find out exactly why students have claimed us to be the "hidden gem" of the University.

(Join us later in the day for Prof. Jake Rosenfeld's Faculty Spotlight presentation, "Talking About Pay: Who Does It, Why So Many Are Embarrassed By It, and Why Your Boss Hates It" in Brown Hall, Room 100!)
