Zhongze (Mark) Wei's research interests involves the incorporation of immigrants into U.S. society and how the process challenges and/or reinforces existing racial structures. He is interested in shifting racial and ethnic boundaries, evolving group identities, and the dynamics of inter- and intra-group relations in the context of immigration. He focuses on Asian Americans as the key population for exploring these topics.
Zhongze is from Nanjing, China. He received his B.A. in Sociology from Wake Forest University in 2022 and his A.M. in Sociology from Washington University in St. Louis in 2025.
