Dr. Motl attends to all undergraduate and graduate student-facing and -related matters including curriculum planning, advising, program recruitment and retention, professional development, departmental events, and so, so much more.

Kaitlyne Motl (kxmotl) received her PhD in Sociology and a Graduate Certificate in College Teaching and Learning from the University of Kentucky. She is a lifelong consumer and producer of live music - and an episodic contributor to scholarship centered on this topic.

Her primary passion, however, is supporting students as they navigate the complex (and often unspoken) processes within higher education, within and outside of the classroom.

In her free time, Kaitlyne enjoys - what else? - listening, creating, and making music as a multi-instrumentalist. Given their notoriously short attention span and commitment to being a perpetual student, Dr. Motl also loves learning as much as they can on just about anything.
